The purpose of the Ancient City R/C Flyers, Inc. Club is to promote and encourage interest and activity in radio control model aviation for the benefit of its members.  We have over 60 members ranging from 12 to 65+ years of age.  We are a chartered club with the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) (www.modelaircraft.org).  Each member must also be a member of the AMA for insurance reasons.  This provides protection for the members, club and flying site owner.

We have a flying field for the exclusive use by the members through the courtesy of Fred and Jeff Parker of Elkton, FL.  The field is at the northwest intersection of CR 305 and CR 13.  It is maintained by the Club members and consist of a mowed parking area, pit area and air strip (380’x90’).  Club members are usually at the field Tuesday and Friday mornings (weather and wind permitting).  Some members may also be there Saturdays and Sundays.

The Club holds the monthly meeting the second Saturday of the month at 9:00 AM at the flying field. Rain date is the following Saturday.  Members will be arriving earlier to get some flying in before the meeting.  During the colder months, the meeting location will be announced in the newsletter “Hot Wings”.
